Sarita is a first-generation Cambodian-born New Zealander.
She is an actor, writer, producer, and co-founder of the company I Ken So Productions with partner Ui Natano Keni, founded in 2017. She is a graduate of both Victoria University and Toi Whakaari, completing her MA in Creative Scriptwriting at the International Institute of Modern Letters at Victoria University 2017.
Sarita produced the co-written show Riverside Kings with co-writer and director Natano Keni. Riverside Kings went on to win at the Wellington Theatre Awards 2017, receiving The Peter Harcourt Award for best new playwright. Sarita was also a previous winner of the Chapman Tripp awards in 2013 for her first play Neang Neak's Legacy, as best new playwright.
